What better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than with my beautiful daughter as she and her dance school danced all day long, until she could hardly walk, entertaining appreciative audiences all over the valley, and then hearing her, somewhere during the long day, articulate feelings that made me realize she possesses the same intangible feelings of longing and belonging and home and love and ancestors that make her mother weepy when she hears the strings and pipes of Celtic music? We had the nicest day together and I'm already looking forward to next year.
