Eliza's big night is over, and she will hopefully have many happy memories of this year's Celtic Holiday. My little girl looked beautiful with her hair flying and her feet doing dance steps that she only dreamed of a few years ago. For the first dance of the night everybody wore folksy costumes and Eliza wore the black and white kilt that my Dad gave my Mom years ago. It was so sweet to see her in it, and I think Dad would have been very pleased. In fact, with the bagpipes booming and Mom in the audience, I believe he very well may have been there, watching and smiling.
My favorite part of the night? When Irish Dance Idaho's favorite piper, Aaron, played the nicest and trickiest tune I have heard in a long time. I asked him later what it was called--Afternoon at the Green Monster. Sweet!
