We traveled to Huntington, Oregon (pop. 515) along the Snake River this weekend for a dance performance. It was the world's smallest Scottish Highland Games and the world's smallest crowd, yet I think it was the most fun Eliza and her pals have had all year. They ate delicious pizza at one of two eatin' establishments in town (the other was a bar), got a kick out of The School, which was K-12 in one building, and performed before a very apperciative group of locals (and their dogs). They discovered the old-time playground toys paradise--metal slides that knock you around and scorch the backs of your legs (if it isn't 43 degrees), teeter-totters that slam your friend down and rattle her teeth when you hop off, and a merry-go-round that threatens induce vomiting and/or to break your arm when you fly off. So. Much. Fun.
Happiest girls around!
