Here are some goings on in the lives of a few boys I know. First, this. A huge congratulations to Zane's brother for reaching the rank of Lieutenent Colonel in the United States Army. (I will not pretend to know exactly what that means. My knowledge of military rank and importance is based on my memories from childhood of M*A*S*H* characters...Colonel Potter...Major Winchester, etc...) I do know that Layden works really, really hard, though, and that this was a very cool day for him and his lovely wife, Sarah.
Next, a big thank you to my handy hubby for building two big, beautiful garden beds that we will photograph and put to use very soon.
Now, for my one and only nephew. I adore him, I admire him and I want to squeeze his cheeks whenever I see him. Here he is in all his Timberwolves pitching stance awesomeness.
And here he is with his 'baby', Ja'Qwan, from his teen living class. I haven't laughed at a photo like I did today in a very long time. And yes, for some reason, that baby is wearing bling...
And lastly, I got a little nudge from Wilson this morning.
Wilson: Here Mom, try this gum I got.
Me: No thanks, honey. (It was about 7:30am...too early for phone calls, important decisions, or gum)
Wilson: No, Mom, try it.
Me: Maybe later!
Wilson: MOM. (very emphatically) It makes your breath REALLY GOOD.
Me, finally clueing in: Oh, ok.

My girls were so disappointed yesterday when baby J'Qwan was turned in at school.
Ryan said it was the stupidest thing ever, and that he was never having kids. I told him that was the point :-)
