Redfish Lake 2011

We have returned from our favorite place on Earth, dirty, tired, sunburned and totally gratified. I love being in the beautiful mountains with really, really cool people, watching my kids play and feeling my blood pressure drop. I felt especially close to my Grandma's memory this week when I looked at all the wildflowers and hiked and swatted mosquitoes and fed my kids camp food full of sand. I think she would have enjoyed a trip like this.

If it looks like we have an extra kid here, we did. Eliza brought her friend with us and she was an awesome addition to our family for a few days!


If you know this cute family, count yourself lucky! In addition to being some of the coolest people we know, they were great camping, beach-hanging out, hiking, and ice-cream-eating partners.
