Yesterday Wilson said, "Two more days until beef licking season!"
Eliza and I stared at him with cocked heads until he said it again.
"Beef licking season."
After we stared some more and laughed and asked for clarification he told us that August is when the BEEs start hanging around all the flowers and that is when he and his red-headed friend from down the street can FLICK them off the flowers.

Later yesterday we were observing our daily tradition of going to Sonic between 2 and 4 for a 50-cent slushee. We were discussing which flavors to get and I suggested that Wilson should try the Powerade flavor. Granny cried out, "POWDERED EGG flavor??"
I have to post this picture of my favorite nephew, Ryan, in part to gush about my love for my camera, but also because I am baffled at this kid. Girls in our ward think he's 'hot' and I still think of him as 'Ry Ry' or 'Pooh Bear'.What happened?
And where did the last fifteen years go?
