Check out this groovy look! While on our trip to Yellowstone last week, Zane got the dreaded yet inevitable cracked heels from being barefoot in the dirt and water all summer. I chided him for not using a pumice as often as he should, but his solution to this problem was to lube his feet up with Neosporin and then wear socks the rest of the trip. Well, as you can imagine, the General Store at Mammoth Hot Springs doesn't carry a wide selection of generic white sports socks, or Zane's preferred sock, a black, ankle, cool mountain bike-guy variety. No, this is the most acceptable pair they had. If you look closely, you can see moose and pine trees and snowflakes all over them. I think the "thong" toe with his flip-flops seals the deal for being a tacky tourist in Yellowstone! You know you're past any kind of stage where you're trying for a high cool-ness rating when you walk around like this without batting an eye!
