As the treat-making season is upon us, I implore all of you to make this world a better place by throwing away your recipe for sugar cookies and replacing it with this bit of perfection. Enjoy!
Jennings Deluxe Cookie Dough
(Anyone know which member of the Jennings clan gave this name?)
Beat together:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp Almond Extract (no, you can't omit this)
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
Roll thick and then bake at 350 only until they start to turn brown on the edges.
Frosting:
1/2 cube soft (not melted) butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
a little milk (2-3 tablespoons-ish)
food coloring
