Go Broncos!

And I thought Provo was obsessed with BYU football...

Boise is crazy about Boise State Football. The slushee machines at the corner market by our house were blue-raspberry and orange flavored today. Wilson's teacher told them that if the Broncos won their game against Virginia Tech this weekend their class would get extra tickets in their good behavior raffle jar. Every employee at every store this weekend had on blue and orange. Kids in Eliza's class have blue and orange retainers and braces bands. I feel sorry for the kids around here whose families root for the ISU Vandals because they are absolutely steamrolled by the kids who carry on the Boise State tradition. Coach Pete's kids go to our elementary school and he is somewhat of a celebrity there. Every time he shows up for a play or program there are BSU nuts trying to talk his ear off about football. For the record, he's very polite. Even my nephew Ryan, who lives in Utah, now sports an 'I Bleed Blue' t-shirt. You gotta love college football.
And, as if that weren't enough to welcome in the changing of the seasons, the temperature dropped into the low 30s last night. Not in Stanley or McCall, but right here in the Treasure Valley. My chrysanthemums looked sad this morning. Hopefully the warm afternoons will perk them up. I know I thrive during this time of year when we get the lovely warm days and chilly nights, the nice fruit and veggies and the novelty of the kids going to school everyday hasn't worn off yet. Well, at least for me it hasn't. Don't ask my kids or you'll hear otherwise.
And, for something to sign off with...How many of you can say that your plumber drives hundreds of miles to a college football game and then dances like this on the jumbo screen?? Keep in mind that this particular plumber is a dad with four kids and a cute wife. Go Chris!

I love your plumber!! Fall is great, isn't it! I remember years ago when Provo/Orem was a small town and the BYU football season was a really big celebration. See you soon!
