Wilson has fallen for Harry Potter. Aside from his last basketball game of the season, this is how he spent the weekend:

He finished the third book in the series and was crazy about it. He loves the characters and enjoys the humor and twists. Thank you, Ms. Rowling! This week I overheard two teenage girls having a debate about whether or not you can think Draco Malfoy is HOT even though he is a jerk. One thought he was just plain HOT, no matter what, and the other seemed to have higher moral standards and wouldn't budge.
Eliza had a weekend that makes my life pale in comparison (though that is not a difficult task to accomplish). She enjoyed a sleep-over at Grandma's, the McDonald's breakfast that always follows a sleep-over at Grandma's, a dance performance in Eagle, a wild roller-skating birthday party with Guido's pizza and a mini shopping trip with Mom. Phew! The girl is on the go.

Eagle, Idaho...one of the cutest darn places around

I spent the weekend at my sewing machine, running a little Christmas sweatshop factory. I made nine aprons in three days. I love these and I hope the people who are receiving them for Christmas love them too.

I also spent about ten seconds this weekend making the executive decision to not send Christmas cards this year. I could seriously send a card with the words "Ditto" or "See Last Year's Card" written on it, and that would cover it. So when you don't receive our Christmas card, know we still love and adore you, but are sparing you a snooze-fest of a Christmas letter.
Zane spent a lot of the weekend regretting not getting the yard ready for winter before it was rainy and yucky. Raking leaves when it's sunny and 55 degrees is much more pleasant than when it's soggy and 35 degrees...
With the big snowfall we had a couple of weeks ago, the animals have come down from the foothills, and our little end of town has become something like a wild animal preserve. Many more deer than usual are wandering around the neighborhoods on this end of town, and coyotes walking down the sidewalks are commonplace right now. Check out this handsome fellow. (Thanks to Kate for letting me poach her photo!)

Zane came out of an office building last week and watched a coyote trot across the parking lot with a squirrel in it's mouth. A live squirrel, who wasn't pleased about being in coyote's mouth...
Hope your weekend was better than that squirrel's.

Coyotes! Cool - except if you are that squirrel. Keep the cats inside! Do you have deer? My Mom saw a bobcat, but then she lives in the mountains and so that's not abnormal. Says it is beautiful but fierce.
Those aprons are so cute!
And ditto on the Harry Potter- Grace is painstakingly making her way thru the 2nd one. She'd go faster if she didn't stop after every sentence to "imagine" it...
Love, love, love the Aprons! Tell Wilson that cousin Austin has read each of the 7 books at least 4 times.
Thank you so much for doing four of those aprons for me! You're the best!
Draco is not hot, however I have a bit of a thing for the Weasley twins. It must be my desire to have a redheaded girl :)
