I really, really, really love this painting by Ben McPherson. The first time I saw it, I got chills and kind of teary. I love the dark colors and the intense feeling that the body language of the men give as they all lean in toward the center of the table. Wow. Then I found out about the artist, and some of the means to his ends, and I loved it even more. And then I found his wife's blog and think they are so fun. If I had a giant house with a giant wall in a giant room I would buy a giant size print of this painting and stare at it every day.
The entire episode of "God's Close-Up" aired on the TV version of This American Life a few years ago.
If you can find it (I can't!), take the time to watch it.
