Spring (Training), and Other Happy Things

I am ordering my vegetable seeds from here, the Sox are warming up in Florida, and Hadley will turn one next month. Hooray for spring! Went to a production of La Boheme this weekend with Mom at the Egyptian Theatre. It was a beautiful performance and I'm happy she shared her Christmas present with me. Thanks, Mom!

I got an envelope in the mail this week that said, "Congrats! You are a BRONCO!" In crazy fonts. On the outside of the envelope.  Probably not what the acceptance letter from Harvard or Stanford looks like, but I'll take it. While I'm looking forward to starting classes again, I will use this experience to strongly, even obnoxiously, encourage my children to go to school when they are supposed to and get as many degrees as they can before life puts the brakes on schooling and they have to wait until they are forty to start classes again.

And here's a pretty funny semi-political cartoon. Enjoy.
Not just GOOD, but good-LOOKIN'!

Woo Hoo! So happy for you. By the way, one of the many perks of being a student--- you will qualify for the student discount at the Westside Drive-In, now conveniently located in our neck-of-the-woods! It's not big enough to offset the cost of tuition, but it is a nice alternative to the senior discount.

SO marvelous! Didn't know you were going "back to school" - what will you study first, English or Math?

So excited for all the things listed, but I might be most excited for you returning to school. I know you'll do great and I can't wait to borrow your student ID and get cheaper movie tickets and discounted Westside!
