Get It Straight

I have found two sites that I think are helpful in sifting through all the political rhetoric this year. www.factcheck.org calls the candidates and their campaigns on statements they make that are false or exaggerated and www.votesmart.org has lists of all the candidates and their voting records. It's a lot to sift through but good info. I find it frustrating when people (ok, Sarah Palin) can make outright false statements in speeches and go unchallenged. These unbiased sites are good for the goose and the gander, I think.

So I'm not going to bash in any mailboxes like Carly's pseudo political-guerrilla neighbor, and I won't be pulling any McCain stickers off cars (I don't think I could find one in Boise anyway!) but I do plan on being informed and hopefully help my kids learn about the political process of this wonderful country where we live!

Here here!
Thank heavens for websites like that. Nobody, including Obama, is perfect, but outright lies should not be tolerated and I hope voters take these lies very seriously.
