How can I stash all this stuff in a house that is only 1600 sq. feet and has an attic that you should have to sign a waiver stating you understand the bodily risks involved before entering??Whenever I've heard Laurie talk about the lengths her kids will go to find presents I've always felt lucky because, in that department, my kids have been clueless. I don't think the thought to search for presents before Christmas has ever occured to them. So, imagine my panic when I heard Eliza say this morning, "Mom, I promise I wasn't snooping, but..." Doh!
My philosophy has always been that the more obvious the hiding place, the more disguised it is. Everybody is going to look under the beds for big packages wrapped in bags from Target, but who is going to look in the cloth grocery bag that is in the middle of the laundry room gathered with nine other cloth grocery bags? Luckily, our little house is so cluttered that there are a million spots like that to stash gifts. The trouble is remembering where they all are. There has been more than one year that I found presents after the fact...
And, on the subject of presents, with one click on the 'submit order' button on Amazon yesterday, I was FINISHED shopping. Done. Now, I need to balance my checkbook and assess the damage...

OH MY!!! Unfortunately my kids got their present hunting & gathering skills from their mother. I just walked upstairs about 20 minutes ago and found my 16 year old standing in the front room with my parents' gift skillfully opened and inspecting it. If you lived closer, Id tell you to come hide it at my house
I used to hide stuff at my next-door neighbor's house until she had another baby this year, and lost her spare room...
