Pre-Weekend Wrap

1. Wilson's game tonight--the first warm game of the year. We parents shouted and cheered from our fold-out chairs in the warmth of the evening. Unfortunately, there are only three more games left. The weak farmer tan on my arms says this should not be the end of the season.
2. I scared Carly today at work. It was about a 6 on a scale of 1-10. She jumped and yelped a little, but I didn't get a four-letter word.
3. There is not one ounce of chocolate in our house. I'm not sure how that happened or what went wrong. Will recitfy tomorrow.
4. Zane and Wilson are away on a camping trip. Girls night in. I went running and Eliza rode her cute purple bike alongside me, shouting a la Jillian. "How bad do you want it?"
5. One of our rats is showing signs of...well, languishing. Check back for an update. It will involve tears and possibly a mercy visit to our neighbor/vet.
6. Why, oh, why do our friends, die-hard Yankees fans, just *happen* to be taking a trip to Seattle and catching a Mariners game in July? When the Ms are playing the Red Sox? That is almost as unfair as when Eliza's orthodontist told us he was going to be in Boston and planned to catch a couple of games at Fenway Park. I asked him who the Sox would be playing and he shrugged and said, "I have no idea, I'm not really into baseball".
7. Is it possible to grow a worthwhile garden when the first warm day/non-freezing night is almost two weeks into May? Stay tuned to find out.
8. More baseball tomorrow, more gardening and more sunshine. I love May.

Carly said her only retribution to you scaring her was that it hurt your neck, not hers! Love this family for the best scares ever!

Ha ha! I WILL get you back for scaring me!
Maybe you and I should make a quick trip to Seattle for the Sox game. That could be awesome.
Good luck with the ratus. Hope she feels better!
