Today one of my preschoolers found a daisy in the front yard. She began to pluck the petals, one by one, and recited, "He loves me, I love him, He loves me, I love him..."
Wow. How's that for optimism? (And self-esteem!)
This also happens to be the same little girl who told me a few days ago, "If you see a fat person, you can tell them that you like their hair."
And speaking of hair, this particular girl has awesome hair. It's long, really curly and free-form. I took her to a store with me recently and no less than five people commented on her hair, her pretty face and her show-stealing personality. When we left the store she sighed, "It's really hard to be cute."
Tell me something I don't know, girlfriend.
