The Christmas shopping season is upon us (even though we still have carved pumpkins perched on the steps). Carly and I were talking about how, in the spirit of frugality, we could make Christmas more interesting and less expensive than the usual indulgent shopping fest. We thought that it would be fun to really think about our friends and family, and then find something that they would love--whether it was a CD we burn from our own collection, a book we have already read but know they would enjoy, or a homemade crafty kind of gift....and just between you and me, I am hoping for a car detail from Levi! :)So, if you receive a book from me this year that looks like it didn't live at the bookstore any time recently, it probably didn't, and I hope you enjoy it! Think of the love that I put into choosing it for you, the tree that is still standing, and the dollar that is in my kids' college fund! And Merry Christmas to you from me!

It took me a minute to actually read this because my eyes were fixated on the pic of my main man Varitek. Mee-yow!
Oh, sure! I'd send a used book and you'd create some gorgeous and handmade item that makes me cry when I open it up because it know you put alot of thought and effort into the present. I'll probably stick with my Shopo gift cards! HA HA
I agree with mom :-) You are a big talker but we all know our love language is gifts! But I will try really hard to limit my purchases! It is just so fun to shop for people you love!
I love the ShopKo gift cards!
