Apron Strings

My cute niece, probably whipping up a mean batch of brownies

I have found a hobby that allows me to indulge my appetite for finding and buying great fabric, but doesn't require as much time and money as quilting. I have been sewing aprons like a crazy person and, because I am unable to wear and store as many as I have made, I have been handing them out to everyone I know. I think aprons connote a feeling of domesticity, of comfort, of a woman who is settled in and taking care of business around her home. And I'm not kidding, once you start wearing an apron around, you can't stop. If I start to cook or clean without one now, I feel nekkid. Check these out:
My sister, Laurie, hiding behind her cute apron...

My new favorite

Thank you, Rhonda, for being a good sport and modeling!

I love, love, love the owl print! You do such a great job finding cute fabric! PS, Eric said that I have on my sarcastic smile in the picture. Who me? Sarcasm! What's that?

I happen to think that the one you made me is the VERY best :) :)

Keep it up, this could become a business for you someday.

Heather, you need to let me buy one of your cute aprons from you! I've been wanting on SO bad and I'd rather buy one from you then somewhere else.

Wow--who knew aprons were so popular! And I thought I was being kinda nerdy.

I have had lots of inquiries, so here goes:

If you want me to make an apron (or two, or ten) you can give me two yards of fabric (one yard each of two coordinating fabrics), thread and $15.

Or you can give me creative license, a list of your favorite colors/styles and $25.

Great Christmas gifts for sure! (Just don't try and give one to anyone I know, they already have one!) :)
