Funny Hubby

I saw this comic today and it reminded me of myself. Sort of. Truth be told, I'm the boring one in our marriage. Zane is actually really funny, and I remember him keeping me in stitches when we first met. Now he gets bummed out when I don't laugh at his jokes. Good thing for our kiddos, who think he's hysterical.

And, during this week of celebrating our anniversary and gushing about each other, I will say that I found yet another reason to appreciate my hubby. Yesterday Zane showed me a picture that he has had in a little box of remembrances since we met. I remembered the photo---he took it of me while we were eating lunch on the tailgate of his truck. We weren't married yet, and were on a little road trip through Colorado together. When I saw the picture yesterday, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. In it, I was wearing a ball cap, a plaid flannel shirt and my eyebrows were way too thick. It was 1995 and I bet I thought I looked 'cute' and 'granola' but in reality, I looked like a 'man'. I briefly considered scanning it and posting it here, but thought better of it. It really made me appreciate Zane and how much he must love me for my 'inner' self. Good thing for miracles!
