Lake Time

My two favorite boys

Wouldn't be the end of the summer without a trip to the lake. I love how every year a tradition can evolve into a bigger and better and more wonderful collection of experiences and memories. Kids getting older, dads becoming more relaxed, Sockeyes returning, the gazebo selling twist cones for a buck, and me growing more and more appreciative of good things the older I get.

Sweet Eliza, waiting for a bite

Sydney is such an earthy, peaceful soul. This picture is so...her.

We spend way too much time and money here

What do you think these two 'tweens are talking about?

Wilson got to spend his birthday right here and he couldn't have been happier.

Hitting the trails!

Justin again spent days patiently teaching kids how to fish.

Taking some batting practice

No trip to Redfish Lake would be complete without a good game of Lodgeball. Here, Justin fires one in to get things started.

Usually our time here means Wilson trying to find his way with his sister and a gaggle of girl cousins. Luckily for him, we discovered that one of his very best friends was here too. Here, they have created a machine gun thingy and a rifle out of driftwood. Ahh, in Wilson's eyes, the world is good and complete.

Loved, loved, loved this band

Ice Cream Headache!

'Til Next Year...
